Kikkoman sale position European markets

DESCRIPTION

Mr. Lee (Douwe.works) was asked to create a 5 min animation to show Kikkoman distributors the cultural difficulties of the European markets and inspire them to improve Kikkoman’s position in said markets.

For this project I did art direction; concept art, storyboarding, character design and coordinated the 2D character animation. Worked on this project for 6 weeks with a small team of a writer/director, 3D animator, 2D animators.

Beauty in simplicity

The film we had to produce was for a very specific audience in mind - European sales representatives for Kikkoman soy sauce. It's about research results in how soy sauce is doing among competition. The challenge was how to make this visually appealing and remind why soy sauce is nice. I did visual research in how to present food and products in a simplified style but still keep their appeal.
